When a doctor makes a mistake, it can result in a serious health problem or even death.

Mediation Services From An Experienced Medical Malpractice Attorney

Washington laws require parties in a medical malpractice lawsuit to participate in mediation before litigation is possible. As an attorney who has represented plaintiffs in thousands of medical malpractice cases for more than 35 years, Steven R. Pruzan has successfully resolved cases through both mediation and litigation.

At Miracle Pruzan & Pruzan, we know that mediation can help parties reach a fair agreement without the stress and the cost of litigation. Mr. Pruzan brings his extensive experience and skill in resolving medical malpractice and personal injury disputes to his role as a mediator in these cases.

Building Trust By Building Bridges

Mr. Pruzan’s knowledge of the law and the complex issues related to medical terminology, treatment and technology ensure that he can discuss the facts of a case and its potential resolutions at an extremely high level. He understands the value and quality of expert testimony, and he has valuable insights gained from handling similar cases of his own as a plaintiff’s attorney.

Mr. Pruzan utilizes his experience to help plaintiffs, defendants, lawyers and insurance professionals reach agreement on a settlement range that is considered reasonable by all parties. He prepares carefully for every mediation and brings a genuine goal of resolving each case.

Persistence Produces Results

Injury disputes can be highly emotional. We help parties remove the emotion that can serve as a barrier to resolution. Often, a dispute cannot be resolved during an initial mediation session. However, progress made in the first session may be a good indication that litigation can be avoided. We are ready to meet as many times as necessary as long as there is a combined sense of hope that a resolution can be reached.

We believe that mediation provides a degree of predictability and control over the outcome of a civil lawsuit that litigation simply does not offer. If both sides bring realistic expectations regarding the value of the case to mediation, there is no reason a settlement should not be reached.
